How long have you been with The Fredericks Company, and what is your role?
I’ve been working for The Fredericks Company for 43 years. I’m a Maintenance Mechanic and responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our design and manufacturing facility.
What has changed since you started working with The Fredericks Company?
So much has changed; we are now a modern manufacturing facility. The company continues to stay ahead with modern technology. One of the most recent innovations is the robot that does inspection and test on our 0717 series tilt sensors.
What has improved since you started working with The Fredericks Company?
The first improvement is safety; we have a safety committee and emergency response team that trains all employees on how to handle different emergency situations. The second improvement is communication; all departments now communicate very effectively with each other, which really streamlines our manufacturing processes.
What do you enjoy most about your position?
I really enjoy working with the other employees in different departments; they give me an opportunity to learn new things and help me improve my skills.
What has been your most memorable moment at The Fredericks Company?
Back in the early 1980s, there was a flood, and several inches of water came into the building. After everyone’s shift ended, they all stayed overnight to help to get the water out and clean the entire building. We really came together; it was one of my favorite moments.
