Today, we are shining the spotlight on Sharyl Puskar. Sharyl is one of our Production Supervisors responsible for the production of sensors for our Fredericks tilt sensors and Televac^® measurement brands. Sharyl started working for The Fredericks Company in 1978, at the time she worked in the Levels Department filling and testing glass tilt sensors. Today, she oversees the production schedule and department needs and makes sure that all our customers receive the best quality products on time, every time!

入社してから変わったことはありますか？

大きな変化がありました。主な変化の一つは、会社がデザインと製造における新しい技術を取り入れ、多くの新製品を開発してきたことです。

入社してから改善された点はありますか？

We’ve made significant improvements to our manufacturing procedures, documentation, and work instructions. When I started, another operator explained the job to you, and you jotted down a few keynotes in a notebook. Everything was in your notebook or your memory. We now have documentation control with digital work instructions and detailed procedures that are used every day.

In the past, we also had “special” parts that were made by one person. We’ve now integrated those parts into our standard lines and cross-trained operators on all parts in our standard lines. This means that if someone is out of the office for any reason, things still run smoothly!

フレデリックス社で一番印象に残っていることは何ですか？

数年前、不可能と思われる期限付きの大幅なタイマー発注がありました。ガラス職人や他部署の社員を使って、総力を挙げて対応しました。皆が一つの目標に向かって一丸となり、納期通りに出荷することができました。その後、キャンディビュッフェでお祝いしました。

自分の立場で一番楽しいと思うことは何ですか？

私は、チームや経営陣、他の部門の上司と一緒に仕事をすることを楽しんでいます。The Fredericks Companyの全員が自分の知識を共有し、お客様に高品質の製品を提供するために協力しています。

フレデリクス・カンパニーで働く前は、今までで一番変わった仕事、面白かった仕事は何でしたか？

私はSav-a-Lotの食料品店で働いていました。プライススキャナーがなかったので、値段のシールが貼ってあるものはなく、すべての値段を覚えなければなりませんでした。
