Inclinometer Sensors

Electrolytic and MEMS Inclinometer Sensors

In addition to the electrolytic tilt sensor component for board level designs, we also offer complete electrolytic tilt sensor circuits, and electrolytic and MEMS inclinometer sensors that are environmentally sealed and designed for industrial and outdoor use. We have an engineering department including electrical, PCB layout, software/firmware, and mechanical design expertise, so we’ll work with you to build a solution specific to your needs.

To learn more about the principles of electrolytic tilt sensing and how to integrate tilt sensors into your application, see our Technical Information page.

Inclinometer Sensors

The electrolytic versions of our analog and digital inclinometer sensors utilize our Fredericks electrolytic tilt sensors and electrolytic tilt sensor circuits are the lowest cost environmentally sealed (up to IP67) inclinometer sensors we offer with a measurement range up to ±60° and repeatability from ±0.1° to ±0.05° in one or two axes. These inclinometer sensors have plastic housings and have a cable with flying leads that can be customized with a connector you specify. Optional outputs for our inclinometer sensors include analog 0 to 5 V DC, RS-232, and RS-485 digital communications.

MEMS Sensors - Inclinometers

Our MEMS tilt sensors and inclinometers are the only products we offer that utilize MEMS core tilt sensing technology. These analog and digital inclinometers are metal-housed, environmentally-sealed analog and digital inclinometer sensors with an IP (ingress protection rating) of IP67. Inclinometers are used in many markets and industries including construction and agricultural vehicles where inclinometers provide safety information and other vehicle parameters to the operator.

These analog and digital inclinometer sensors offer a ±90° operating range with accuracy of ±0.1° with optional outputs of analog 0 to 5 V DC and RS-485 digital communications. Analog and digital inclinometers with MEMS tilt sensors are higher cost than our electrolytic inclinometer sensors because of the high accuracy internal MEMS sensor, t. For a lower cost option, view our electrolytic inclinometer sensors.

To learn more about the principles of electrolytic tilt sensing and how to integrate digital inlcinometers and MEMS tilt sensors into your application, see our Technical Information page.
