0716-5201-99 ±70° Glass Electrolytic Tilt Sensor

This electrolytic tilt sensor (also sometimes called an electronic tilt sensor) gives wide-range measurement up to ±70° with extremely high accuracy of ±0.003° in one axis (single-axis measurement). This means that you’ll need two sensors to read in two axes (with orthogonal mounting, or mounted at a 90° angle). It’s a glass, hermetically sealed sensor for use in less extreme environments than our similar TrueTILT™ all-metal sensors, and this sensor has a larger size than the similar 0716-2201-99. This sensor is the highest accuracy wide-range sensor we offer, but it’s also higher cost than similar TrueTILT™ 0717 and 0703 series sensors.

All electrolytic sensors require an electrolytic tilt sensor circuit (also commonly referred to as signal conditioning or a signal conditioner) to provide a tilt angle output. This can be built into your system or you can purchase an electrolytic tilt sensor circuit we’ve designed. Our circuits are optimized for the best performance from our electronic tilt sensors.
